Experience a powerful homecoming with Stratford, CT native and internationally acclaimed violinist Kersten Stevens — the Queen of the Violin — as she returns to SHU Community Theatre for a one-night-only live album recording.

A Yale alumna and six-time winner of Amateur Night and Showtime at The Apollo, Kersten has electrified audiences at the Apollo Theater, City Winery, and stages across the country. Her last appearance at SHU Community Theatre featured a special performance with 11x GRAMMY Award-winning bassist Christian McBride.

Her latest album, QUEEN RISING — co-produced by and featuring McBride — debuted in the JazzWeek Top 40 and showcases her signature fusion of jazz, gospel, soul, and Black cultural storytelling.

Now, she returns home to capture that energy LIVE in an unforgettable evening of music, connection, and celebration — a historic and joyful cultural moment in Fairfield County.
